Dust Alert
My blog is so dusty that it's not funny... *sigh* I either have nothing to blog about or I'm just too tired to blog... I can't even drag my ass and download the photos I took from the F1 Grand Prix and the videos from Avril Lavigne's concert... ONE MONTH AGO. It's still in my camera... I blame it on the weather and the lack of stimuli in my life at the moment... then again, I suppose it's just me being lazy... *sheepish grin* 24 September 2008
Clay Aiken: I'm A Gay Dad
Following the Aug. 8 birth of his son Parker, singer Clay Aiken is following through on a promise he made to himself as a new dad: to publicly acknowledge that he's gay. "It was the first decision I made as a father," Aiken, 29, tells the upcoming issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday. "I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn't raised that way, and I'm not going to raise a child to do that." Aiken says he expects the news may overwhelm some of his fans. "Whether it be having a child out of wedlock, or whether it be simply being a homosexual, it's going to be a lot," said Aiken, who returned to Broadway last week as Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot. He adds that he hopes his fans "know that I've never intended to lie to anybody at all. ... But if they leave, I don't want them to leave hating me." The born-again Christian singer also reveals how he told his mother Faye he's gay four years ago. After dropping off his younger brother Brett, who was being deployed to Iraq, at Camp Lejeune, "I started crying in the car," Aiken remembers. "It was dark. I was sitting there, thinking to myself. I don't know why I started thinking about it ... I just started bawling. She made me pull over the car and it just came out." So what was his mom's reaction? "She started crying. She was obviously somewhat stunned. But she was very supportive and very comforting." Even now, Aiken admits, "She still struggles with things quite a bit, but she's come a long way." As for his own child, Aiken tells PEOPLE that Parker – who was conceived via in vitro fertilization with his best friend, music producer Jaymes Foster – will be raised in an environment that is "accepting and allowing him to be happy." Says Aiken: "I have no idea if he'll be gay or straight. It's not something I'll have anything to do with, or that he'll have anything to do with. It's already probably up inside the code there ... No matter what the situation you're in, if you're raised in a loving environment, that's the most important thing."

The X Files Revisited
After watching The X Files: I Want To Believe, I've realised how much I miss watching it and how I was so obsessed with it... HAHAHAHA!!! I love Mulder and Scully... they're like my 2nd most favourite on-screen couple, next to Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman... sigh. 
Now I'm like trying to watch the entire series all over again... 10 September 2008

Then there's this tee on sale... used to be AU$65, now going at AU$39... it's still cheaper than buying from CK Tang... then again, I'm not sure if CK Tang has this design...

A Musical Journey
The last time I saw RJ Rosales perform was I think back in 2000 or 2001.... can't remember... but it was like SOOO long ago anyway... then he went back to Australia... :( Anyhow, he's back in S'pore for the moment and I went to watch his mini concert this evening at the Esplanade... !!! WOW !!! He's like even BETTER than I remember him to be!!! He mentioned during his performance that he'll be heading back to Australia in October... argh, I hope he does more shows before then... 
P.S. I actually bumped into him when I was in Perth... it was kinda nice that he still remembered me after so long... haha! 18 August 2008
WE FINALLY DID IT!!!
After 48 years of waiting, Singapore has finally got another medal!!! In my lifetime!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! 
So we got totally trashed by China (it was 3-0) but it's STILL a medal, silver no less... such a proud moment, to see the Singapore flag being raised... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Like when will I ever see that again??!! So hard to say... but wow, it definitely felt good... :D 15 August 2008

It's A Boy!
Congratulations go out to Clay Aiken because there's a brand new Claymate in town. The "American Idol" crooner and his friend Jaymes Foster, welcomed a baby boy Friday morning, Aug. 8, the singer announced on his website, ClayOnline.com. "HE'S HERE!" Aiken writes. "My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken (No hyphens. One first name. One middle name. One last name.) Parker was born at a hospital in North Carolina just this morning at 8:08 AM. Wow... 8:08 ..08/08/08." Little Parker was named for Aiken's mother Faye, whose middle name is Parker. The child weighed 6 lbs, 2 oz at birth and measured 19 inches. "The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy," Aiken continues. "Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also. The Aiken family, the Foster family, and the Parker family are all thrilled." Aiken, 29, and Foster, 50, are not romantically linked, but met and became friends on "American Idol." They conceived the child through artificial insemination and will raise him together. Jaymes is the sister of record mogul David Foster. Aiken's fourth album, "On My Way Here," only debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard charts in May. He recently toured with the Monty Python musical "Spamalot" as the brave Sir Robin. Awwww... Clay's a dad... how cute... I hope the baby looks more like him... :p |
